Privacy - the protection of your personal data
Your satisfaction is our top priority, and therefore our most important goal
is to protect your privacy. We use the data transferred from you to ourselves
for the execution of orders and inquiries. Your data will not be given to
third parties for further use.
Secure transmission by means of the SSL/PGP-Procedure
In our "secure" pages, we use the encrypted transmission protocol
"SSL" (Secure Socket Layer) for the transmission of your data,
such as your address, bank, or credit card data. Using this method, the data
is securely encrypted before being sent to the server. From the server, the
data is transferred using PGP ("Pretty Good Privacy")--the
safest standard at present--to us.
In the "secure" part of our shopping-area, we use the SSL-encoding
according to the Thawte Digital Certification. This is supported by most
browsers, and is generally recognized by the closed padlock somewhere in
your browsers window. Should your browser have problems with our "secure"
SSL-shopping-area, or our secure SSL-form, you may also browse the
"normal" shopping-area, or simply send an e-mail message to: order@contray.com.
However, please note that in the latter two cases your data will be not be
securely encrypted, and may be at risk.
Cookies
"Cookies" are small text files that contain information that your
browser stores on your hard drive. They facilitate the use of online purchases
via the Internet.
We use cookies in our online-shopping system to be able to recognize you after
you switch to our main pages. Using this method, the only information saved is
stored in the goods basket. When you visit our online-shopping system, our
cookies allow you to automatically be recognized by the system, and therefore
you do not need to re-enter your personal information (address, method of
payment) again.
In principle, our online-shopping system can function without cookies,
but the disadvantage of this is that after browsing other pages in our website
and then returning to the shopping system, your goods basket will be empty.
Our cookies do not store personal information about you, so there is no danger
in using them. If your browser does not accept cookies by default, you should
enable them at least from our site.
